Since the dawn of man, art has been of great importance for human life. When I am talking about Art, I do not mean art as an activity that is pursued by amateurs, enthusiasts, and professionals to learn skills or understand the science behind the creation of masterpieces but more overused on advertising products or services, designing logos, or just for decoration purpose.

Art is an activity that has evolved with man and still evolving (though at a much slower pace). Art implementation in our society is very wide. I will be focusing on the benefits of art education for humans’ life in this article mainly because It has always been questioned that what use does art education have for human life.

The following are the 15 reasons why I believe art education is important for human life.

1. Art Education Teaches How To Express Oneself

One of the key benefits of art education is that it teaches students how to express themselves. This can be done through a variety of mediums, including painting, drawing, sculpting, music, and more. Many students do not feel comfortable expressing themselves through words, but they can express themselves through pictures or sounds.

Art education also encourages students to think outside the box and be innovative in their work. They learn that there is more than one way to represent an idea – it does not always have to be done traditionally.

Since many artistic activities require collaboration among several individuals art education encourages students to work well in a team. Students may start working independently when they first begin their art education, but they eventually learn how to work well with others to create a final product.
